Otto Piene (1928-2014) was co-founder of the artist group ZERO and ranks among the most eminent German post-war artists. The Kemp Collection holds 13 paintings, including a number of large-scale works, as well as a light sculpture and works on paper, offering an overview of Piene’s oeuvre from the period between the 1960s to the early 2000s.   The exhibition places a focus on the artist’s fire pictures, in which he expressed his interest in light as an artistic medium particularly convincingly.  Curator: Daniel Cremer
